I am still having fever.. The temp went up & down.. Took medicine on time.. I have no appetite so mummy & po po sort of have to force mi to eat.. No choice lor.. Po po still sponge mi regularly..
Po po told mummy to take a nap as she knew that mummy is tired having to take care of mi plus she is currently in the pregnant state..
Mummy woke up ard 5 pm and took my temp, it was 39.8 deg !! She was shocked as this is the highest temp so far even after taking the medicine.. Po po was also worried and agreed to mummy's suggestion to bring mi to KKH immediately..
They quickly packed up my stuff (milk powder and sufficient clothings) in case I need to be admitted.. We reached KKH around 5.30pm and there wasn't much pple.. The nurse took my temp and it was 39.6 deg and told us to proceed straight to the red door after we had registered and made payment.. While waiting, mummy read and understand that out of the 9 urgent cases, one of them was infant with fever above 39.5 deg does not require queuing and can proceed straight to the red door..
The doctor told us that my fever was caused by infection.. And i oso have throat infection.. He checked my lungs, no infection.. The last thing to check for is urine infection.. So the nurse taped the urine bag on mi to take my urine sample and asked mummy to monitor regularly.. In the meantime, i was given a dose (the maximum dose) of Paracetamol. So we sit at the waiting area waiting for mi to pass urine.. In the meantime, po po sponge mi as per the nurse advice..
We waited for about 40mins and i still hv not urinate, so the adults decided to go for their dinner first as it was about 8pm.. After their dinner, i finally urinated.. We waited for the result from the doctor...... my urine is clear ! Phew.. means i dun need to be admitted and can go home liao.. We reached home ard 9.30pm tat nite..
