4th April : Brought ervin to GP as he is having quite high fever (38.3 deg), the GP was concerned abt his fever which come & go and told me to bring him to SK Polyclinic to do a bloodtest on the same morning. Thus, I rushed to polyclinic for the bloodtest and brought him back to the GP with the result.. GP said that ervin has a high white cell count. He said tis may be due to his fever.. He decided to put him on antibiotics and told me to do a 2nd bloodtest 1 week later..
11th April : Brought ervin to Policlinic to do bloodtest 1st then take the result back to GP.. GP frowned when he looked at the result.. The white cell count was even higher than previous. Another substance also exceeded the normal range by alot.. GP was concerned with the result as this bloodtest was taken when Ervin has recovered from fever. Thus, he refer us to a PD, Dr. Siva from Kinder Clinic.. So hb & i rushed ervin there on the same evening.. Dr. Siva checked ervin and found that he looked OK (except some wind in his tummy) although both bloodtest results were worrying.. he said there might be an error in the reading (i hope so..).. he suggested that we do a 3rd bloodtest for ervin 1 week later + a stool test and see how's the result..
18th April : My mum helped ervin to poo in the morning and the stool sample has to reach the hospital within 3 hours.. Thus i quickly bring ervin & his stool sample to Mount Elizabeth. At the same time, he did the 3rd bloodtest.. tis time, the bloodtest was different from the previous 2 occasions. The previous bloodtest at polyclinic was done by pricking his 3rd finger, this was less painful.. this bloodtest done at Mt E was drawn from his vein and using a bigger set of needle and 2 full tube of blood was drawn (compared to only abt 10 drops of blood drawn at polyclinic) .. Ervin cried v badly.. Feel so sim tia to see him go thru this at such a young age..
Now waiting for the result to be sent to Dr. Siva's clinic.. Hope his result will improve..
